Slip of moon, steadfast planet
Giving light to dark
Oh, that man can add wonder
If only a spark
What separates celestial
From the acts of man
Nothing less than faithfulness
Always true to plan
God’s ways are unwavering
Rooted in His love
Every star, divinely placed
Purposed from above
Our own illuminations
To the darkened skies
Fleeting flickers in the night
Luster dims and dies
Our only hope lies within
His light pouring thru
As His vessels, we can glow
Hope in darkness, too
In this way, by choice alone
We submit ourselves
Conduits of light and love
Romance and compel
Efforts to illuminate
On our part are vain
Only Love thru us will last
Brilliantly sustained
